The Xerophytic Gardens & Desert Garden | by Will Giles - Norwich, Norfolk

A subtropical garden in a temperate climate

During the winter of 2006-7 Will Giles and his ever expanding slave collective have created a stunning new Xerophytic garden behind the house in the former woodland garden (plant that survive with little water) behind the house in the former woodland garden. This has been a major project for the exotic garden greatly extending its range of planting with prickly arid desert plants. Here you will find raised beds and sunken paths all built with local flints. All is overlooked by an Italianate loggia with blue tiled roof. This has become a major attraction to garden visitors. A beautiful place to sit on a balmy summer’s day.
