Istanbul's weather is very unstable in winter. It's influenced by many different climats so people are always tired because of the pressure and temperature alterations. After the snow of saturday morning, yesterday it was 19 degree C; today at 4 o'clock 2 degree, at 8 o'clock 0 degree and now at 5 o'clock PM 5 degree. So the snow it's not rare for me; last year the minimal tamperature in my garden was -8 C. With a sudden snow storm, coming from Balkans or Ukraigna or Siberia our daily life in Istanbul can be distroyed.

Oguz - It’s always good to know that my blog is being read in different parts of the world. Snow in Istanbul - is that rare?

Dear Will,
I'm reading your blog many times in a day, since couple of months. I discovered another way of gardening in your blog. This morning, it snowed in Istanbul just like in your garden; but mine is not so beautiful as yours. I'm so sorry about your father. Oguz

The garden always looks beautiful and it is enchanting with it's light dusting of snow.

I'm really sorry to hear about your dad. I think I speak on behalf of all your readers when I say our thoughts are with you at present.
