I've just returned from Barbados and the afternoon I spent in Anthony Hunte's Garden was the highlight of my tour: the garden and the gardener, the music and the atmosphere - the warm welcome made me feel at home!

It is always hard work getting the garden ready at this time of year.

The mild weather is helping, but we still have quite a few plants to sort out. Some are ready to go under cover but are sat outside their winter homes enjoying a bit more of the mild weather.

Last year we ended up with a kitchen full of plants during the coldest spell!
